Every Formula 1 Team Running Special Liveries For The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix [Update: There's More]

We’re starting strong with this swanky look for Italian side AlphaTauri. The Red Bull junior squad has refreshed its car with this striped pattern, which the team says should evoke the speed of its cars as they rush under the Las Vegas lights.

The new design is inspired by a clothing collection title sponsor AlphaTauri released with U.S. designer Brendan Monroe. If you want to dress like the car this weekend you can check out that collection here.

Unlike most of the other new looks on this list, AlphaTauri won’t flip back to its original livery for the remainder of the season. This means the striped stylings will get a second outing at next weekends Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which will be the final race in the 2023 season.

Another team diving head first into all things Las Vegas is Alfa Romeo, which has replaced all of its signature red stylings with a sleek playing card design. The cars run by Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu have been plastered with playing cards over their engine covers and front ends.

The design looks pretty cool, and really hits the Vegas branding spot on. My one worry with this look, however, is that while it’s awesome in close up shots like this, how will it translate to TV? Is the new look going to pop, or are we all going to get it confused with the equally dark-colored Mercedes come race day?

Red Bull Racing has been running a competition to let fans design the livery that its cars will run at three races this year, and Las Vegas marks the final event in that contest.

Out of thousands of entries, the winning design was chosen as the sparkle-filled one you see here. Designed by Lindsay Palmer from Essex in the UK, the new look retains the Red Bull’s signature style while adding pink and yellow neon details.

The new livery will only be run in Vegas, so is packed with nods to the Sin City such as playing cards and poker chips.

The Vegas details even extend to the car’s wheel covers, which have been given a sparkly new outfit for the occasion. This weekend, they’ve been restyled as poker chips, with heart logos and patterns adorning each one.

For Ferrari’s new design, it’s looking to its past with a new livery to celebrate its history racing in America and, I must say, it looks awesome. The one-off look replaces the current car’s black details with gleaming white to echo the style the Scuderia raced in the 1970s.

Alongside the red and white car, the Italian team will also run new red and white race suits for its two drivers, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc.

As one of the few teams on the grid to have raced in las Vegas before, Ferrari has a lot of history to draw on when it comes to recreating vintage looks. For this weekend, it’s looked to cars like the Ferrari 312 B, which was raced by Mario Andretti, and the Ferrari 312 T4, which won races at Watkins Glen and Long Beach.

Another team that’s in the fortunate position to have raced in Las Vegas before is British outfit Williams. The team, which actually won the last F1 race in the Sin City, has redesigned the rear of its car to feature all kinds of Las Vegas landmarks.

On the car’s engine cover you’ll spot the Las Vegas sign, stars, stripes and all manner of neon lights as the team aims to capture some of that Vegas sparkle.

Williams, which is the only team on the grid fielding an American driver, previously ran a special-edition look for Formula 1's race in Austin. Back then, the team took a more subtle approach to celebrating its ties to the U.S.

French Formula 1 team Alpine has a subtle tweak to its look this weekend as it partners with London-based streetwear brand Palace. For its one-off Vegas look, the Alpine car packs patterns into its normal blue and pink colorway, as well as Palace logos along the side of the car. It’s a subtle update that looks smart.

As well as the updated look for the cars, the Alpine F1 Team will also have refreshed styles for its personnel as well. That’s because it has created a capsule collection with Palace that includes updated team kit and fan-wear. The collection of new threads will exclusively be available at a pop-up store at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas.

Finally, McLaren has an ever-so-slightly tweaked look this weekend that highlights its tie in with American whiskey brand Jack Daniel’s. On the cars raced by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri this weekend, there are enlarged Jack Daniel’s logos at the rear and other designs associated with the brand integrated into the car’s dark-colored areas.

For the Vegas car, McLaren has stripped the MCL60 of any blue, which has been a staple of its cars for several years now. This new stealthy design could pop under the Vegas lights, or it could get lost among the glitz of the Vegas strip, we’ll have to wait until Thursday to find out which way it goes.
