The 2023 LA Auto Show wasn’t the most exciting this year. There were several manufacturers missing, either by choice or because they didn’t have anything to show. Notable automakers that were absent included every German automaker and Stellantis. That didn’t stop the ones that did attend from making some big debuts.

Here’s every model shown at the LA Auto Show this year that’s new or updated for 2024 and beyond in one convenient spot. It’s not much but it is something to look forward to going into the new model year.

The second of Honda/Acura’s new electric crossovers based on GM’s Ultium platform, the ZDX is aiming to be a premium entry into the EV segment. Buyers will be able to choose between A-Spec and or performance orientated Type S trims. Acura says the ZDX should get between 288-325 miles of range when it goes on sale early next year in the $60,000-$70,000 range.

Chevy’s newest EV, the Equinox, is set to go on sale in early 2024. Chevy started accepting orders for it at the beginning of November. RS trims will be released first with a starting price of $48,995-$52,395. Cheaper LT trims will come later with a starting price of $34,995. While Chevy has released pricing and feature details of the Equinox EV, it’s not talking about any range numbers just yet.

Chevy’s EV pickup has had a roller coaster ride since its debut last year and it’s still not quite at dealers yet. After originally announcing the truck would start at just under $40,000, GM announced the price would be going up. W/T or Work Truck trims will now start at $79,800. While it has 350 claimed miles of range, this means that most trims of the Silverado EV will come close to if not eclipsed six figures.

Chevy has made its family-hauling Traverse more rugged-looking for 2024. Not only does it get new updated styling that gives it a nice handsome blend of Silverado and Tahoe styling, but it also gets a new off-road Z71 trim. Turbo four-cylinder power is also the only engine option this time around, with a 2.5-liter 315 horsepower turbo I4 being the sole engine option no matter what trim you choose. The 2024 Traverse is set to go on sale in early 2024.

Apparently, there’s a subset of people who want to slide an EV around on dirt. If that’s you, Ford has got the EV for you in the Mustang Mach-E Rally. Sitting above the GT in the Mach-E lineup, the Rally will make 480 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, have a 0.8-inch ride height increase and have extensive underbody protection for all that off-road drifting you’ll be doing. You gotta pay to play though so expect a price no less than $65,000 when it goes on sale in early 2024.

A race-inspired, mid-engined Mustang sounds like concept car stuff. We thought so too until Ford dropped the bomb that was the Mustang GTD for production. It really is the stuff concept cars are made of. Or one-offs made for someone with deep pockets: extensive areo package designed with help from the Mustang GT3 race car team, carbon fiber body and an 800 hp supercharged 5.2-liter V8 mounted midships. And no you probably can’t afford its $300,000 starting price.

Genesis GV80 Coupe

Genesis has updated its GV80 luxury SUV for 2024. The bigger news though is the addition of a new “coupe” variant. The sleek looking model sacrifices some of the GV80 headroom and cargo space for style. Its not all looks though as the GV80 will actually have some oomph to it. The GV80 Coupe will have three engines choices: the base 2.5-liter 300 hp turbo I4, 3.5-liter 375  twin-turbo V6 or the top of the line version of the same engine that slaps a 48V supercharger onto it for 409 hp. That’s the same engine setup as the G90 luxury sedan. No word on pricing but the updated GV80 and GV80 Coupe are set to go on sale in 2024.

I still don’t know who this thing is supposed to be for. I’m glad it exists though. With 641 hp, drift mode, tons of performance settings and a claimed 3.2 second zero to 60 time, the Ioniq 5 N should be a riot to drive. If its Kia EV6 GT cousin is any indication though, it won’t be cheap and you won’t get very far because of the low range, but you’ll have fun getting there though.

Who says family sedans can’t have a striking design? Hyundai has gone futuristic-techy with the 2024 Sonata. Hyundai describes its design as “aggressive” and it definitely is. Hyundai also pulled some performance bits from its N models for the Sonata N-Line, like launch control, power shift boost and rev-matching. The 2024 Sonata is set to go on sale at the end of the year.

Hyundai’s entry level sedan gets updated for 2024 as well. The most aggressive of the lineup is the Elantra N. It gets new styling front and rear, new wheel designs and chassis tuning that should make this budget Type-R fighter drive even better than it already does. The 2024 Elantra is on sale now, while the N goes on sale at the beginning of the year.

Kia has revamped the entire Sorento lineup for 2024. There’s new styling that makes it look more like a larger Seltos than its Telluride big brother. There’s also a new infotainment system with dual 12.3-inch screens for both the center stack and driver. Powertrains are carryover with the base turbocharged 191 hp I4 and an uplevel 281 hp turbo four on higher trims. A hybrid and plug-in hybrid model will come sometime later. The 2024 Sorento is expected to go on sale in early 2024.

Probably one of the most anticipated new vehicles coming, the 2024 Lexus GX stunned with its rugged design. For the first time since its debut, I saw a trim at the show that was more luxury focused, and it still looked good. With its 3.4-liter turbocharged V6, 10-speed automatic and a plethora of off-road goodies, the 2024 GX is set to go on sale in early 2024.

Honestly, I wasn’t sold on this Frontier Hardbody Edition when it was first announced. After seeing it in person however, it made me a believer. The special edition of the Frontier made to pay tribute to Nissan’s popular hardbody pickup of the 1980s, the Frontier Hardbody Edition has inspried styling features like heartiage-styled wheels, retro graphics and black trim. Only available in red, black or white, the Nissan Frontier Hardbody Edition is on sale now and will set you back just over $45,000.

The hybrid only Crown Signia will be powered by a 2.5-liter I4 paired with Toyota’s hybrid tech for 243 total system hp. You can also expect to get 36 mpg in this which may or may not be as impressive as you were hoping. The 2025 Crown Signia is set to go on sale in summer 2024.

After what’s seemed like years, the VW ID Buzz EV van is finally set to go on sale here in 2024. Buyers will be able to choose between rear or all-wheel drive with either 282 or 330 hp in the awd version. No word on range yet but I’m sure VW is shooting for that magic 300-mile number. No word on pricing yet but VW should release it sometime next year before this thing goes on sale.
