New clutch at 87K? With those mods I’d almost think that the owner would be more indicative of “would I touch this ?” than the actual vehicle. A kid couldn’t normally afford this so I’d see if the owner majored in douche and made some money at it.

Tough call. At first glance it seems like a lot for a pretty tired car, but $6000 in body prep and paint work would make this thing seem pretty sweet and a nice vehicle in which to maybe someday drop in a built motor. I’d have to go ND at $15K, but at $10K it might be tempting.
It’s a 3,500-pound, 30 year-old Mercedes rolling on 217 horses and starting to rust. I can’t imagine this being an exciting ride. I wonder if there are wear marks on the trunk carpet from the golf bags. ND for me.

Interesting car from an overlooked design period, a real curio. ND all day long though. Just because it is weird and curious doesn’t make it valuable. I love odd curiosities like this, but no. I would not pay that for it, not even in this market.
